Jim Lammers received music instruction throughout his childhood in Fulton, Missouri. He continued with his formal education in the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri Kansas City, where he earned a degree in guitar performance. He has performed extensively as a solo guitarist at public venues, corporate events, private parties,  and wedding ceremonies over the last 20 years. In addition to his performance career, he has been a devoted guitar instructor at the UMKC Community Music and Dance Academy, since 1987.
